Your Role

As an AI & Space Physics intern, you will join our science team, combining top-tier expertise in physics, data science, and artificial intelligence.

You will be involved in all stages of our predictive model development pipeline, from data processing to physical interpretation, and will actively contribute to the company's ongoing R&D efforts.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and optimizing AI models applied to space physics problems
  • Processing, cleaning, and analyzing satellite data
  • Merging physical and statistical data for improved prediction of space weather phenomena
  • Validating and interpreting scientific results
  • Participating in R&D discussions and contributing to product evolution

Profile

We are looking for a Master's-level or final-year engineering student with a strong background in both AI/data science and physics.

Your Role

As a Full Stack / MLOps Engineer intern, you will join our product team, at the heart of the development of our web interfaces, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

Your work will directly contribute to the consolidation of Augura Space's operational platform, used for real-time monitoring and forecasting of space weather events.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Front-end development: designing and improving a responsive and intuitive dashboard for real-time data visualization
  • Back-end & API development: building robust services (FastAPI, Flask, Node.js) for data ingestion, processing, and distribution
  • Automation & MLOps: implementing CI/CD pipelines for AI models developed by the science team
  • Cybersecurity & resilience: integrating best practices in API and infrastructure security, access management, and service reliability

Your Role

As Lead AI & Space Physics Engineer, you will lead our science and data engineering team, responsible for the development and integration of AI models within Augura Space's operational products.

You will play a pivotal role at the crossroads of research, engineering, and product, contributing directly to the company's technological strategy and long-term vision.

Your main missions:

  • Lead and grow the scientific team (engineers, researchers, interns in AI & data)
  • Design, develop, and operationalize AI models for forecasting and diagnosing space weather events
  • Work closely with the product team to ensure deployment and monitoring of models (CI/CD, APIs, performance tracking)
  • Oversee data management and quality, including acquisition, processing/cleaning, and fusion of satellite and ground-based data

Profile

We are looking for a technical leader able to combine scientific rigor, product mindset, and operational focus, while guiding a growing multidisciplinary team.

Core Skills

  • PhD or equivalent experience in Artificial Intelligence, Applied Physics, or Data Science
  • Strong command of Python and major machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Scikit-learn, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of physical modelling, ideally related to the space environment (plasma, radiation, atmosphere)
  • Experience with model deployment (APIs, data pipelines, cloud environments – AWS, GCP, or equivalent)
  • Good knowledge on development, data science and/or machine learning frameworks, and proficiency in tools such as Git, Hydra, UV, etc.
