Who Are We?

Augura Space is a French New Space deeptech startup, incubated at the Inria Start Up Studio. We develop operational space weather services, combining space physics and artificial intelligence, to protect satellites, aviation, GNSS communications, and critical infrastructures.

In collaboration with CNES, ESA, and major industrial players (defense, aerospace, energy, insurance, finance), Augura Space is positioning itself as a key actor at the heart of the French and European innovation ecosystem.

Internship Context

As part of a contract funded by CNES, Augura Space is conducting an ambitious market study:

  • Identify key actors and user segments (satellites, aviation, defense, GNSS, energy, finance/insurance)
  • Understand their operational needs
  • Explore business models and market dynamics over the next 10–15 years

Your Missions

Working alongside the founding team and a senior consultant, you will take part in every step of the study:

  • Market research and analysis of sectoral data and reports
  • Conducting interviews with strategic stakeholders
  • Drafting company/country profiles and enriching a structured market database
  • Contributing to strategic analyses and supporting the final presentation to CNES

Profile Sought

We are looking for a Master's degree student (engineering school, university, or business school with technical background) with a strong interest in space, New Space, and deeptech innovation.

We are currently developing an interactive nowcast dashboard, providing real-time visualization of space weather conditions. This tool will allow users to easily access critical information about the current space environment, sourced from scientific and institutional databases.

Your Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer Intern to design, develop, and maintain a web platform for real-time space weather monitoring. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Frontend Development: Creating an intuitive and interactive user interface for space weather data visualization
  • Backend Development: Building APIs to retrieve and integrate data from external sources
  • Data Processing & Integration: Automating the collection, storage, and display of real-time space weather data
  • Optimization & Security: Developing a robust and scalable system for smooth and reliable performance
  • Maintenance & Continuous Improvement: Designing an architecture that allows for easy upgrades and integration of new data sources

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a final year student in Computer Science or Software Engineering, either from a Master's program or an Engineering School (École d'ingénieurs), passionate about web development and data-driven applications.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in full-stack web development (React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, FastAPI)
  • Experience in designing user-friendly interfaces
  • Strong understanding of APIs and databases
  • Fluency in Python and data processing libraries
  • Clean code and documentation practices
  • Proficiency in technical English
